I
often hear people downplay the role of the LEO.
After all, they “are not
soldiers”. They are servants.
They “write tickets and direct traffic”.
Others
are quick to critique the LEO’s decisions and actions:
“Why didn’t they just
shoot the knife out of his hand?”
"Why did all of them shoot? It only takes one
bullet….” And so on.
If only they could “walk
a mile…”
I submit that the modern day LEO is a professional Warrior and
Protector of the weak. They wear shields, carry an array of weapons, train in
tactics and intentionally go in harm’s way every day….
